The extra-coverage Day Pad Plus has the same three part design as our classic Day Pad, which allows you to customize the pad according to your flow. Choose one or both absorbent inserts to place inside the envelope-style holder, or wear just the holder for a super thin liner!
Our Day Pad is equivalent to a standard-size maxi pad. Our Day Pad Plus features additional length for an extended coverage area.
Includes 1 holder + 2 inserts.
The absorbancy is fine for me, but it's just not quite long enough. I get leaks if I'm at all active. The night glad rags are great, but not something I want to wear during the day. If you have trouble finding a pad with the right coverage like I do this may not be the solution for you.
As a recent convert to reusable pads, I wasn't sure to expect. I got these pads because they were recommended for a heavy flow, but I worried that they'd leak without a plastic backing, and that they'd feel like a super thick maxi pad. I am happy to report that neither of those bad things ever happened. At this point, I've used these pads for three very heavy periods and they've never leaked. At all. And they last a LOT longer than my previous super-long disposable pads did. Plus, the pads are super comfortable because they form very well to all the nooks and crannies "down there." The only problem I have with these pads is that the cleaning is kind of a pain in the butt. Yes, I use a soaking container. Yes, I clean them in the washing machine (and that is super easy), but it's a bit of a chore to keep up on all the cleaning when you're on your period and not feeling motivated, so I recommend buying more than you think you'll need so you don't have to clean them so often.
I literally wear all black almost all the time. Or at least in the very dark color family, so the fact that GladRags has a black pad is literally making me so happy right now I'm having to force myself to not buy one of each pad/liner in black. I bought the day pad plus because I was wanting to see how I liked the size, and its the perfect in-between size if the day pad isn't enough but the night pad is too much coverage.
Only used then once but so far I am in love with them. The pantyliner a are great with my cup as backup. Wished I got into this years earlier but that being said I am good into menopause.
Right now is my first time using gladrag's reusable pads during a heavy flow. They are amazing! They are sooooo comfortable and really are a lot easier to clean than I was expecting. I'm super excited about it and just ordered more!
