GladRags' Night Pads are longer and wider to provide more coverage while you sleep. In addition to extra coverage, the night holder contains a layer of ultra-absorbent terry cloth. Customize your absorbency by adding inserts to the pocket on the holder. The Night Pad can also be used as a postpartum pad or for heavy flow during the day.
Includes 1 holder + 2 inserts.
I am so glad I have discovered something that not only doesn't chafe me, it absorbs perfectly. I used to have to wake up each morning only to scrub stains out of my sheets. Not a great way to start the day. But now, all I have to do is set my night time glad rag a-soakin'. Never going back to the alternative. If you have a heavy flow, or always seem to leak while you sleep, this is a MUST.
I've had good luck with the overnight pads. They're not too bulky due to their shape, but they are comfortable and full coverage at the same time. I often find myself using them during the day even as I find them more comfortable than my older day pads. Also, it's nice that the inserts fit in the band under the pad rather than in a pocket. Just ordered some extras for my impending postpartum period. Looking forward to some nice soft, clean cloth rather than hospital grade pads when I'll be so sore.
I LOVE these things. My only problem is that I need more! I have a heavy flow and only had 3 of the super gladrags. I will be adding to my arsenal to make sure I am covered the whole way through so that I never have to use one of those pesky, chemical laden throw aways again! I actually was looking forward to my period after getting them, which was a new emotion for me! They worked great and, not to be gross or anything, but they had way less of that usual 'period smell' that comes along with regular pads and tampons. I thought it was normal, but now I am thinking that the odor came from the chemicals in the products all along. Just a side note.
I have a very heavy flow with clots and am used to wearing the overnite maxi pads for my heaviest flow days and nights. I was intrigued by this product, but doubted it could meet my needs. Amazingly, these pads are longer and offer more coverage than the overnite throw-aways! It is also nice to not have the chaffing from the throw-aways. This product is very soft and not harsh on the skin, but covers and absorbs better than an overnite. I would totally recommend trying this product!
I was definitely wary of trying these but now that I have I will never go back to disposables. They are SO comfortable and absorbent. I wore them on my heaviest days and nights and only needed one insert with no spills or leakage. Wearing these feels much more natural, with no unpleasant chafing or smell. I HIGHLY recommend them and have converted my best friend as well. My only regret is that I didn't buy more because I wasn't sure about their effectiveness but I will definitely be placing another order for myself and my daughter. Thank you GladRags!!
I can't complain about this product. I would prefer there be some kind of water-resistant layer on the very back and front of the pads to prevent night-time leaks. Overall good panty coverage, but - just wish either the two liners were larger - or there was a waterproof layer to help prevent leaks.
When using disposable pads, I always develop an uncomfortable rash by the second day. Not with GladRags! This pad is soft, comfortable, absorbent, and rash-free. Thanks for changing my life every 28 days!
I use these at night on heavy days and they are fabulous! You can add extra inserts for heavier floe, they are comfortable and I have never had them leak in the two years I have used them. Well worth the investment! And super easy to clean too!
When my cousin first told me about these, I was pretty skeptical. It seemed so ... unhygienic. But then I realized that when I had a leak during my period, I didn't throw my underwear away. I soaked it, washed it, and wore it again. This is really no different. To make Glad Rags work for you, you will need a system to deal with the used pads. For me, that meant having a place that wasn't my bathroom sink to soak the pads in until it was time to do laundry. I purchased an enamel soaking pot, some BioKleen Bac-Out Stain Remover, and two mesh laundry bags, and I was ready to go. So what do I think of them? 1) Oh so comfortable. 2) Where’d that nasty smell go? Instead of a heap of stinky trash, all I have in my bathroom now is some terry cloth soaking in lime-scented water. 3) Easy to use away from home. 4) Leaks are an issue. But disposables leaked on me all the time too. 5) Will they stain? That depends on you. If you rinse them before soaking, then no.
I bought these for post partum to add to the overnight ones I already owned. I'm so glad I did. I started using them at 2 days post partum and had no leaking. These have good coverage and are more comfortable than a disposable too.
