Say hello to XO Flo! With proper care and use, your XO Flo can last for years of period protection that's better for your body and the environment.
XO Flo is a soft, internally-worn reusable menstrual cup made with body-safe medical grade silicone. XO Flo collects (rather than absorbs) monthly menstrual flow. Your XO Flo may remain in the body for up to 12 hours at a time, unlike a tampon which must be changed more frequently.
When removing the XO Flo, grip the stem as high as possible, as the smallest bead is there to help you locate your XO Flo, but is not designed to be tugged.
What makes XO Flo different?
Should I get the XO Flo or XO Flo Mini?
I have to say that even though I have not given birth, but the sheer fact that my flows are greater than the hoover dam the first few days, is what makes this purchase a great one. Granted its only good for the first couple days after that it becomes harder to insert so Ill have to switch to the mini. (Honestly this is my second buy as i accidentally fried my first one in boiling water to sanitize it. It be nice if there was an actual brand of soap to clean said cups in without paying close attention to the stove like its a timebomb.)
I've been using cups for 10 years now. I used to think down on people who couldn't figure out cups. This cup has been my sysiphean boulder, and my vagina is the mountain. The first problem is how uncomfortable it is . As soon as I put it in, it feels like the beginning of a UTI. When I ride my bike it's like there's a potato in my butt. Next, I can't stop it leaking. I pulled it out four times today because I'd leaked enough I was sure the cup was overfilled. Each time there was just a teaspoon of blood. When I take it out, I have to put it in and back out several times because I can't get it to pop open. When I can't tell if it's open, I shove a finger up there, which pops it back in. The final straw was tonight, on my fourth switch-out of the day. I put my fingers up and felt, on the outside of the cup, my cervix. I'm sleeping wrapped in a towel tonight and I'm sewing up an army of cloth pads tomorrow. GladRags, if you've got an old MoonCup stashed away, I'd love to have it.
I loved the cup, but bought this before the Mini was available. It wasn't the right size for me and my cervix, and gave me awful cramps. So glad they have the Mini now. Maybe I'll try that when my Luna wears out.
I had been using a softer cup for 6 years, usually with a panty liner because it would leak a bit. I have a strong pelvic floor and my new XO Flo is just perfect. Even during the first days on my period it lasts several hours. Sometimes it climbs up a little but it's just because of my muscles moving. I love it!
I've had the XO Flo cup for two years, and have been using it on and off throughout the past two years. My mistake was not researching about different size cups for the right cervix position. Mine sits low during my period, this cup is too big for me and it barely pops open most of the time I use it and I have never not leaked when using XO Flo. I had originally used mooncup before which worked better for me but I left by accident when traveling out of state and before moving back to Indonesia I decided to get this cup. The bead stem isn't very sturdy and I accidentally pulled one off when I was trying to remove the cup. Time to search for another cup.
I absolutely love this cup. It's the first one to open easily for me plus, it actually holds my flo. I have exceptionally heavy periods. This one allows me to use a cup like women with average flo. On the worst day, I'll have to empty it after two to four hours but none of the others I've tried will allow me to get that much time.
