Our Night Pad Plus gives you reliable, no-nonsense protection—and worry-free sleep—that lasts till morning - and the extra long inserts make this our most absorbent (and most popular!) night pad.

Each Night Pad Plus is customizable with one holder and two long, flared inserts, with full absorbency equivalent to a standard overnight maxi pad. At 14" long with a unique flared design, the tapered ends help prevent leaks whether you’re a front, back or side sleeper, making them perfect for heavy overnight periods or postpartum recovery.

Try the Organic Night Pad if you’d like the same pad length, but with shorter inserts.

    How GladRags Work

    1. Put 1-2 inserts into Night Holder depending on the absorbency you want.
    2. Snap Night Pad around underwear.
    3. Change as often as you would an overnight maxi pad.
    4. Wash and reuse!

Hot tip: Both styles of Night Pads are as absorbent as an overnight maxi pad. The main difference between the Night Pad and the Night Pad Plus is the extra coverage and protection that the longer Plus Inserts provide.

Customers praise these reusable pads as "incredibly soft," highly absorbent, and leak-proof with inserts. Made from breathable organic cotton without chemicals or plastic backing. Shoppers report comfort and reduced irritation. Some note the pads are bulky and may be too large for petite individuals or daytime use. A few experienced side leakage issues.

I’ve been using reusable pads for many years and have tried several brands over time. These stand out to me because they are incredibly soft, very absorbent, and made with excellent quality. I really like that they do not contain the plastic backing or film that many disposable pads have, because that kind of material does not feel truly breathable to me. Even when disposable pads are marketed as organic, they are often still bleached, and I do not feel comfortable putting that against my body. These reusable pads feel like a much more natural and trustworthy choice. Highly recommended!!!!

I’ve not had much luck using pads. Had to change clothes 3 times last week due to wetness. I’ve only used two sets. Both disasters. Have washed in cold water in machine with detergent and hung to dry. Urine seems to run, wetting underclothes or running down my leg. Cannot recommend & not considering a reorder

Love these reusable pads. The organic cotton is so breathable and the extra insert pads make everything leak proof! No more itchiness or discomfort since there are no toxins (like synthetic fabric pads or single use)! Wish I had switched years ago!

I was using it for nightime incontinence, not for periods. I am age 79, soon to be 80 and have issues with getting up approximately every 2-3 hours during the night and into the early morning hours. This pad is much too long for my body. I am now using the 9" pad which fits me better. I no longer use the Night Pad Plus.

Works, happy to have a zero waste and healthier option. I would not wear it anytime other than when going to bed; it has a lot of coverage, but that makes it heavy especially with the inserts, so you can see it under clothes unless you have like undershorts that keep the pad close to your body

These make periods suck WAY less!

First of all this company is so amazing. I got to speak with them and they are so honest and so transparent and have so much integrity. Second, these products are uniquely clean/safe/natural, in searching for something like this I’ve run into companies using antimicrobial finishes—how creepy is that especially given the sensitivity and importance of our natural microbiota, like that’s not only insane, it’s extremely stupid.
So I was so excited to find something like this that I could truly trust and I although I wasn’t sure how great they were going to work, I figured, hey at least it’s natural. I couldn’t really imagine them working as good as some chemically absorbent pad from like a drugstore, but they work BETTER! I honestly cannot believe how comfortable these are and how absorbent and fast drying they are. Being able to be comfortable, being able to have security and not having to deal with chemicals or glue or constantly dealing with tampons has 100% gotten rid of the dread of an upcoming period because I know it’s not going to be that big of an inconvenience now and I know I’m not going to lose sleep due to inefficient fem. products. I am so grateful to this company and their products are so well-made. I recommend these to everyone with a uterus. This is what people should be using, and after trying these, conventional period products suddenly seem like archaic torture devices and suddenly makes you realize how women have been neglected by the industry well into the 21st century.

And if you want them to last a bit longer when you’re wearing them, you can literally just take a napkin or a little bit of toilet paper or anything like that and like change that every so often to help assist just to extend the life of it so to speak it really just gives you so much more comfort, ease and control. These are amazing. I highly recommend investing in them, it’s worth it. Plus, it’s one of those things where it’s like initially it’s a big expense, but you don’t have to constantly buy them all the time and that will definitely translate for me anyway as saving quite a bit of money as time goes by, like I am already feeling the relief of not having to think of or budget my next period product purchase, it’s awesome.

My review is long, but I can go on and on. I am so grateful to GladRags, they literally made life easier and better. Periods no longer needing to be dreaded? For me, like give them Nobel prize.

    Needs improvement

This didn't work well for me as a night pad because the side protection is lacking. The cross shape of the wrap leaves you vulnerable to a lot of side leakage. All other GladRags have better side protection because of the diamond shape.

The Packaging/Shipping container was 100% Zero Waste!

I bought these for my child. The pads are high quality, 100% organic cotton and re-usable. The design is great with small metal snap buttons, super soft organic cotton and excellent sewing craftsmanship. Wow! When I made my order, I included a note: "Hello, If it's possible to cut corners with regards to packaging, packing, packing tape, etc. that would be great. Since nothing here is going to break, the most minimal amount of packaging, packing tape, etc. for shipping works. Thanks. PS. If you are able to re-use any individual packaging on any products, we don't need the packaging on this end, but if it's not possible that's fine." Our order came in a cardboard box with 100% paper tape and no packaging whatsoever!! I love that my note was read, acknowledged, and my order was processed accordingly. With the exception of Life Without Plastic orders, it's always a coin toss as to how much plastic is going to be included when I order something on-line. NOT SO with GladRags!! I normally don't leave reviews for things I've purchased, but I was so impressed with my order, I felt compelled. Excellent job all around!!

Just DO It…. You’ll be glad you did 🧡

I was skeptical at first but I decided to try
These are amazing, I use the organic cotton.
They are easy to use, comfortable and no chemical on your body. If you use the right detergent.
I’ve been wearing these now, for several years and never have turned back.❤
The service is great fast shipping and I believe you will be satisfied
Just try make sure you follow the directions with how to wash.
I used to hand wash but now I see that washing in the washing machine and just fluffing in the dryer makes them so much softer

    Must Try!!!

Well I have to say I was skeptical at first. But I’m so glad I gave it a try. The cloth pads are saving me money and are also is a big difference in how I feel hygiene wise. I was frustrated I was putting chemicals close to my body from the pads that I was using. I was so thankful when I seen the information about this company. I had to try it now I am ordering my 4th set. You will love it if you try it they are very durable and showing no signs of wear.
You can use essential oils when washing the product to keep it safe for your body.

Functional, but a bit too big for me

I bought these to help prevent messing up my bedsheets. Most of the time they worked as they are very wide and very long. I am a petite young woman, 5' 4". The pad feels fine when I am sleeping, but when I wear these on my heavy days during the day, they feel so bulky on me, although the protection is great!! I love that they are organic cotton AND undyed. I have switched to wearing a menstrual cup at night, but these are a great investment if you don't want to use a cup.

    The big guns!

This thing is HUGE. Seriously, it's a beast. But for this peri-menopausal old lady with a super heavy flow, it is a the only thing that will keep my flow in check at night. Prior to this big guy, it was laundry city over here: panties, pajamas, sheets. Ugh. Every. Single. Night. Now I use this pad with 2 of the long inserts, and it catches everything. The only leak I've had with this was because I managed to get it on a little crooked and had it wad up on me (user error!). Once I figured out how to place it in my panties for my body and sleeping position, I've had no problems with leaking. I love it!

Best cotton pad I ever had!

There are not so many brand has organic, chemical free and undyed pads. I saw this brand on Rawganique 1st time, and this is indeed a gift from god for me :D
    1. Some brands has strips in middle, the pad would be twisted after few use. This brand don't use that design so its way more comfortable.
2.It's dye and chemical free, which is more healthy to use.
    Love it!

    Fine fine fine :-)

The Organic Night Pads Plus work fine. I'm very satisfied with the absorbency: my clothes hardly got stained at all. My flow is medium, but still, with disposable products, I used to end up with considerably stained underwear at least once each time. Not so this time, using the GladRags products ... :-)

    Awesome and Comfortable

I have a very heavy flow, but that means my period is pretty much over in about two days. :-) During the heavy day, though, it's crazy. I like this pad even for that time, day or night. I find it really comfortable and use it with one large and one smaller insert for good production without so much bulk. Very nice.

Okay, but don't think I will get again

I got this because I have a really heavy flow and was having trouble with standard overnight pads. I tried it on and it was very bulky. It felt like the pad was pushing out my underwear, which made me nervous that it would leak. Nothing went through the pad itself, but it didn't prevent leaking from the sides.
On the plus side, they weren't itchy like regular pads. Still, I would not purchase again.

Top 5 Questions From People Thinking About Switching:

    Do they REALLY save money?

There's a lot of talk out there about saving money over time, but the math doesn't always add up. Ours does.

Exact amounts vary based on what type of disposable pads you use, and how many you use per period, but a low average assumes 25 pads per cycle (5 pads/day for 5 days) or 300 pads per year, totaling approximately $450 over 5 years. If you buy 'natural' or organic pads, the 5 year cost is more like $1,070–$1,430. And disposable pad costs have risen 41%+ since 2020, so who knows what they'll be in 5 years!

Our Conventional Deluxe Kit costs $288 and the Organic version is $345, and they're guaranteed to last 5 years. So over 5 years, you're going to save $100-162. At the bare minimum.

And if you currently buy Organic pads, and your new GladRags last longer than 5 years (many customers use them for 10!), You could be saving $2500+ over the next 10 years!

    Are they hard to wash?

You can machine wash and dry with your normal laundry.

There's more extensive laundering information below and you can make it as much of a process as you want, but it can really be as simple as that.

    Will they leak?

They do not have a plastic liner in them, they will eventually leak through (like a tampon!). How fast you bleed through them depends on how heavy your flow is, and also how thin your menstrual blood is.

Use one insert for light flow and two for more protection, and you'll be worry free! Since we developed the Night Pad Plus with longer inserts and more absorbency up the back and front, this has become our most popular night pad. We recommend that anyone worried about night leaks start with the Night Pad Plus.

Are cloth pads bulkier than disposables?

Most customers say that they feel softer and more comfortable than disposables.

Can we talk about ... odor?

The elephant in the room: Are they going to smell?

Cotton breathes better than plastic pads and does not contain any chemical gels. So our pads do not have that strong 'disposable pad' smell that everyone hates. Most people worry that reusable pads will be like that x10, but they're not.

If you don't keep your used pads in an airtight container or bag for days on end, smells are generally a non issue. You can also rinse your GladRags out with cool water before putting them in the laundry if you do notice anything.

Not Sure About Using Reusable Pads for Heavy Flows?

Check out our Heavy Flow Sampler. Many customers appreciate:

    • You don't need plastic liners to manage heavy bleeding
    • It's nice to test the heavy flow options and find what works best so you know what to invest in.
    • Easiest to transition to cloth pads when you have a few different styles to choose from.

    FAQ

HOW MANY PADS DO I NEED?

Most people start with 8-12 pads and have to wash 1-2 times during their cycle. If you're new to cloth pads, we recommend a Cloth Pad Starter Kit (or Starter Kit Plus), using that for a few cycles and figuring out what else you need to complete your collection.

    HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?

We guarantee our pads to last at least 5 years with proper care. Hundreds of customers have told us that their pads lasted at least 10 years before they replaced them (or menopause started)! Personally, I've been using the same pads for over 12.

Our cost savings estimates are all based on 5 years of use, but if you actually use them for 10 years, imagine how much more you'll save!

CAN THEY BE USED FOR LIGHT INCONTINENCE?

They sure can. While GladRags were originally designed for menstruation, it didn't take long to start hearing from customers that they were being used for light leaks. That's not something we talk about enough as a culture, but light incontinence impacts 1/3 of women! They're a wonderful alternative to disposables.

Most people find that the pantyliner plus is the perfect light incontinence solution. For a little more peace of mind (or the ability to swap out the insert for a new one), the Day Pad is the other go-to option.

    CLEANING & CARE

Caring for your cloth pads is simple. Follow our easy step-by-step instructions to ensure your GladRags will stay in great condition for years to come.

Easy care: Machine washable with standard detergent. Designed to retain absorbency and shape wash after wash.

Detailed Cloth Pad Cleaning & Care:

After use, separate the inserts from the holder. Pantyliners do not have inserts.
Soak in cold water, if desired, to help prevent staining. Use the presoak function on your washing machine, or soak in a covered rust-proof container. Change soaking water daily.
Machine wash cold using a natural detergent and tumble dry low or line dry. Do not use bleach or fabric softener. You may hand wash pads if desired.
Remove pads from dryer promptly and store flat to eliminate wrinkling; use cool iron if desired. Store your pads in a clean, dry place until next use.

Avoid using detergents with fabric softeners or whiteners/brighteners as these can inhibit the absorbency of your cloth pads. Try these plastic-free, non-toxic laundry detergent sheets from our friends at Zero Waste Cartel! Be aware that soaking your cloth pads in water with additives such as hydrogen peroxide can degrade the fabric and lead to holes. For this reason, we recommend utilizing stain removers as spot treatments and do not advise soaking cloth pads in water treated with peroxide-based stain removers.

We do not recommend the use of castile soap, facial soap, or other soaps not intended for textile laundering. Excess detergent may lead to build up, which can limit the absorbency of your cloth pads. While we have many customers that use homemade detergents with great success, cloth pads laundered with homemade detergent are not covered under our warranty. Full warranty information is available here.

A note about staining: Soaking your GladRags in cold water or pre-treating with an enzymatic cleanser immediately after using are two simple ways to prevent staining. However, light staining does not indicate that your laundered cloth pads are not clean or sanitary!

To clean your GladRags Carry Bag, simply wipe the bag with a damp cloth or machine wash cold, then air dry or tumble dry low.
