Our Pantyliner Plus is perfect for light flows, spotting, daily discharge, or as backup protection for cups or tampons. They're also the crowd favorite for light incontinence.

Pantyliner Plus is small (so it’s discreet and not bulky at all), and a great place to start if you’re new to reusables. It’s longer than the Pantyliner, more flexible in the undies, and holds its shape well in the washer/dryer.

Want our shortest, most discreet pantyliner instead? Check out the OG Organic Pantyliner here.

  • GladRags Reusable Pads

How GladRags Work

  1. Snap pantyliner around underwear.
  2. Change as often as you would a disposable pad (try our carry bags for easy on the go-storage)
  3. Wash and reuse!

Hot tip: All three styles of Pantyliners are as absorbent as a disposable liner. The main difference between the pantyliner and pantyliner plus is length!

I love your company. I wonder if the material you are NOW using is as durable and long lasting as the older pads I have from quite a while ago.

Soft anvcomfortable. Doesn't shift. And most importantly, it washes clean and free of odor because the fabric is wonderful.

Soft, comfortable, washes easy and CLEAN every time. Thanks Glad Rag. No going back to crunchy uncomfortable plastic now.

I have worn washable pads for incontinence protection for a number of years. I do not require heavy protection. The Glad Rags design is slightly different than what I'm used to and a bit bulkier because of the closure section. It's not a deal breaker, but it is something I'm still getting used to. I like the overall thickness of the top part of the pad, the length of the pad, that it is made from organic cotton and that it is well made. I wash it with other lights on cold and dry it on warm. Typically it needs more time to dry than the other clothes, so I let it finish drying by air. Overall the Organic Pantyliner Plus meets my needs very well and I will be returning for more as my older liners need replacing.

I can’t believe I didn’t do this sooner. Most comfortable period, pads felt like a hug. No more plastic pads sticking to you and feeling hot and smelly! It felt so good to also not throw away anything for an entire cycle and no exposure to bad chemicals! So impressed :)

Make the change!

I'm using the organic cotton pantyliners - post menopausal and these are perfect for the little leaks throughout the day. I worried that they might leak through, but so far, so good.
I toss them in with the bidet drying rags to wash and then lay flat on top of the dryer to dry. Makes me feel like a responsible citizen to have given up one-time use product (pantyliners and most toilet paper!).
I can't recommend these highly enough. You'll be Glad you bought GladRags!

Perfect for daily use

These were my second purchase from Glad Rags (first was the free colored pantyliner plus sample) along with the Heavy Flow Kit and I'm so glad I made the switch to cloth. I've been using a menstrual cup for years and I wanted a reusable solution for postpartum. I'm in the last month of pregnancy and these liners are so comfortable and convenient for daily wear. They don't hold on to odors and aside from occasional slippage at the end of the day, they stay in place. I sampled another brand with a nylon backing and flannel cotton top, but these are so much better! The nylon seems to hold onto more odor, is less absorbent, and slides around far more than GR.
During a recent bout of pregnancy induced nausea and vomiting, the pantyliner kept me from completely wetting through my pants. I wouldn't plan to use the pantyliner for incontinence, but it is great to know that they hold up well when need. The organic liner seems to be just a bit thicker than the colored liner, but I don't notice a difference when wearing it.
I'd highly recommend buying a set of these if you regularly use disposable pantyliners. They are so easy to care for and feel so much more comfortable. There is no chafing! Since I'm not using them for period back up right now, I toss them in with my regular laundry bag and on wash day I rinse them with cool water and use Meliora's stain stick before they go in the washing machine and then lay flat to dry. After a few weeks of use, they still look brand new!

Great product!

So happy I made the switch! Very easy to use and just keep up with washing by bringing in the shower with me daily. I wish there was a second snap to keep them from riding back but they work perfectly otherwise.

Good, but

Well made, however too expensive and too thick.

Save Money & Mother Earth

I have been exclusively using a menstrual cup for years. After having a child, I found I needed a little extra protection as my periods were heavier. I bought all the GladRags pad sizes to have the option to forego the menstrual cup if I wanted for a period cycle. They are all wonderful! I don't wear the liners with silky underwear as they slide a little. They don't slide on cotton underwear. The organic cotton pads are SO COMFORTABLE! I will be using these for my second child postpartum instead of the disposable pads from the hospital. Thank you GladRags for making such a wonderful product that I will use for years and prevent unnecessary waste to be sent to the landfill.

Return Customer

I ordered the deluxe starter kit from GR after fighting flare ups from sensitive skin and making moves away from plastic and chemical-laced products.
I have a very active lifestyle and I travel for work, and was concerned that these wouldn't be a change I could make. Turns out, they travel well and are so much more comfortable when working outdoors or riding long hours in the car.
To agree with many other ladies, it's so worth the (minimal) effort and the deluxe kit was well worth the expense. I am adding to my original purchase and expect the organic cotton liners to be of the same high quality as my previous order.
The comfort level doesn't even compare to disposables...itching, bad odors, plasticky diaper feeling, GOODBYE! Try them, you'll be GLAD you tried ;)

Very soft

This is a good investment, and I like knowing it's organic. I use GladRags exclusively now, they are my favorite brand.

Love these for light urinary incontinence

These pads wash and dry well right with my underwear load. Usually I hang to dry but they dry well in the dryer on low also. They are very comfortable and suspect they will be great for sports also. For some reason I have noticed that I have been less incontinent with these pads than with the throw away pads.

New take on an old idea

My great-grandmother had to make her own, but this product is so handy with the snap-in-place feature. The cotton is soft, doesn't irritate my skin; the GR stays in place & doesn't leak through.

Just right

These are comfortable and soft for daytime use - not too long or too short. I use organic cotton as it is more absorbent. I'm a very satisfied customer.

Soft, durable

So happy to have tried the organic variety of these reusable pads. I prefer them! I feel they are softer and less "pilly" than the conventional cotton with the printed fabric. Will continue to buy the organic cotton pads from now on! Thank you!

Organic Pantyliners Plus

These are really great...super comfortable and excellent as a back up for your cup of chioce.
My only regret so far is that there are no thong liners yet.

Love these!

I'm a new GladRags user and wish I'd discovered these years ago. The liners are wonderfully soft and are perfect for backup or lighter days. They don't cause rashes, irritated skin, sweating, or any other problems like I had with plasticky liners or pads. The organic ones are a little thicker, so I use those on days I need more absorbency. I love the pretty patterns on the others, though!

A Great Product

I find these to be very assuring when waiting for my period, and useful for light days, too - great protection and super comfortable.

Life Changing!

I found these in a local store, and decided to try them. I was very impressed. They are surprisingly comfortable, and I was used to using pads already with wings. They were a bit bulky at first but I got used to it easily and liked this better than using tampons. No one could tell anyway. I HATE using plasticy liners because they seem to retain that icky smell. These don't!!! I could not find them anymore, so I tried Lunapads. Very uncomfortable, and I don't use those. I think it may be the stitching, and the rickrack used to hold the pad. I prefer to use these by FAR. I have used the liner as a pantyliner and I have also used the holder with wings as a pantyliner. Both work.
I now won't use tampons, so I will be trying the sponge. The diva cup didn't work for me, tried Instead-nope.So, next stop, sponges!

Top 5 Questions From People Thinking About Switching:

Do they REALLY save money?

There's a lot of talk out there about saving money over time, but the math doesn't always add up. Ours does.

Exact amounts vary based on what type of disposable pads you use, and how many you use per period, but a low average assumes 25 pads per cycle (5 pads/day for 5 days) or 300 pads per year, totaling approximately $450 over 5 years. If you buy 'natural' or Organic pads, the 5 year cost is more like $1,070–$1,430. And disposable pad costs have risen 40%+ since 2020, so who knows what they'll be in 5 years!

Our Conventional Deluxe Kit costs $288 and the Organic version is $345, and they're guaranteed to last 5 years. So over 5 years, you're going to save $100-162. At the bare minimum.

And if you currently buy Organic pads, and your new GladRags last longer than 5 years (many customers use them for 10!), You could be saving $2500+ over the next 10 years!

Will they leak?

They do not have a plastic liner in them, they will eventually leak through (like a tampon!). How fast you bleed through them depends on how heavy your flow is, and also how thin your menstrual blood is.

Change pads as you would a disposable, and you'll be worry free!

Are cloth pads bulky?

Most customers say that they feel softer and more comfortable than disposables.

How do I wash them?

Lots of people worry they'll be hard to wash. But it's easy! You can just machine wash and dry with your normal laundry.

There's more extensive laundering information below and you can make it as much of a process as you want, but it can really be as simple as that.

Can we talk about ... odor?

The elephant in the room: Are they going to smell?

Cotton breathes better than plastic pads and does not contain any chemical gels. So our pads do not have that gross 'disposable pad' smell that everyone hates. Most people worry that reusable pads will be like that x10, but they're not.

If you empty out your carry bag of used pads daily, smells are generally a non issue. You can also rinse your GladRags out with cool water before putting them in the laundry if you do notice anything.

New to Reusable Pads?

Start with a kit. Most customers appreciate:

  • Starting with enough pads for a cycle
  • Getting the best value
  • Easier transition with different styles to choose at different parts of their cycle

FAQ

HOW MANY PADS DO I NEED?

Most people start with 8-12 pads and have to wash 1-2 times during their cycle. If you're new to cloth pads, we recommend a Cloth Pad Starter Kit (or Starter Kit Plus), using that for a few cycles and figuring out what else you need to complete your collection.

HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?

We guarantee our pads to last at least 5 years with proper care. Hundreds of customers have told us that their pads lasted at least 10 years before they replaced them (or menopause started)! Personally, I've been using the same pads for over 12.

Our cost savings estimates are all based on 5 years of use, but if you actually use them for 10 years, imagine how much more you'll save!

CAN THEY BE USED FOR LIGHT INCONTINENCE?

They sure can. While GladRags were originally designed for menstruation, it didn't take long to start hearing from customers that they were being used for light leaks. That's not something we talk about enough as a culture, but light incontinence impacts 1/3 of women! They're a wonderful alternative to disposables.

Most people find that the pantyliner plus is the perfect light incontinence solution. For a little more peace of mind (or the ability to swap out the insert for a new one), the Day Pad is the other go-to option.

CLEANING & CARE

Caring for your cloth pads is simple. Follow our easy step-by-step instructions to ensure your GladRags will stay in great condition for years to come.

Easy care: Machine washable with standard detergent. Designed to retain absorbency and shape wash after wash.

Detailed Cloth Pad Cleaning & Care:

After use, separate the inserts from the holder. Pantyliners do not have inserts.
Soak in cold water, if desired, to help prevent staining. Use the presoak function on your washing machine, or soak in a covered rust-proof container. Change soaking water daily.
Machine wash cold using a natural detergent and tumble dry low or line dry. Do not use bleach or fabric softener. You may hand wash pads if desired.
Remove pads from dryer promptly and store flat to eliminate wrinkling; use cool iron if desired. Store your pads in a clean, dry place until next use.

Avoid using detergents with fabric softeners or whiteners/brighteners as these can inhibit the absorbency of your cloth pads. Try these plastic-free, non-toxic laundry detergent sheets from our friends at Zero Waste Cartel! Be aware that soaking your cloth pads in water with additives such as hydrogen peroxide can degrade the fabric and lead to holes. For this reason, we recommend utilizing stain removers as spot treatments and do not advise soaking cloth pads in water treated with peroxide-based stain removers.

We do not recommend the use of castile soap, facial soap, or other soaps not intended for textile laundering. Excess detergent may lead to build up, which can limit the absorbency of your cloth pads. While we have many customers that use homemade detergents with great success, cloth pads laundered with homemade detergent are not covered under our warranty. Full warranty information is available here.

A note about staining: Soaking your GladRags in cold water or pre-treating with an enzymatic cleanser immediately after using are two simple ways to prevent staining. However, light staining does not indicate that your laundered cloth pads are not clean or sanitary!

To clean your GladRags Carry Bag, simply wipe the bag with a damp cloth or machine wash cold, then air dry or tumble dry low.
